Two people have been charged with the murder of 6-year-old Dontey-Patrick Lucas in Port Alberni, Vancouver, British Columbia.
Lucas, originally from Heskiaht, was found dead at a home in Port Alberni on March 13, 2018. No arrests have been made so far.
On Saturday, the Port Alberni RCMP reported that 28-year-old Rachel Frank (born Charleson) and 29-year-old Mitchell Frank were charged with first-degree murder.
“These investigations are difficult for everyone involved and we understand that the time it takes to get to this point is a challenge for the community,” Insp said. Eric Rochet in a statement.
The two defendants are expected to appear in Port Alberni Court on Wednesday.
More information is expected at a press conference Monday morning, the statement said.
