It’s been 34 weeks since the start of the college football season 2021, and we’ve been making a mock-up of the NFL every week (sounds crazy because that’s the way it is), but this time we’re doing something a little different. Pete Prisco of CBS Sports has been doing this for years – a fake draft of what he thinks teams should do. This is a great idea because it gets you on the record, plus it gives fans an easy way to point out where you went wrong.
However, last year Pete thought the Panthers should take Rashon Slater with the eighth overall pick (O-line is a HUGE need for Carolina this year). And in 2020, Pete thought the Dolphins should take Justin Herbert at number 5. Here’s a look at what Pete’s teams need to make fun of this year.
So we will follow Pete’s example, but we will go a step further: we go two rounds deep with the 64 choices we think every team should make. Short peak: The first quarterback does not leave the board until selection 16, and then the next QB is not taken until round 2 when four are selected. In total, 10 wide receivers lead the way, followed by nine rosters, eight cornerbacks and eight offensive strikes.
Keep reading to see both circles.
