3 charged with second-degree murder in the death of a man at the Harbourfront in Toronto

Three people have been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a 31-year-old Toronto man earlier this week.

Police were called to a home on Harbor Street and York Street at about 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Daniel Hoffman was found dead inside, Toronto police said in a press release.

Police said on Friday that two women, aged 20 and 18, along with a 22-year-old man, had been arrested and charged with the help of Niagara Regional Police.

Investigators did not say the cause of death or whether Hoffman knew any of the accused.

The three appeared in court via video link Friday afternoon.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the police at 416-808-7400 or leave an anonymous signal to Crime Stoppers by calling 416-222-TIPS (8477).

Hoffman’s death marks Toronto’s 21st murder of the year.
