A man was arrested after a car exploded outside an Oshawa police station Thursday night.

Durham Regional Police said it happened at its Central East station, located in the area of ​​Center Street North and Bond Street West at 8:14 p.m.

Police said no one was injured in the explosion.

A man was taken into custody a short time later, police said.

“The investigation is still in the early stages to determine exactly what happened,” Sgt. said Joan Bortolus.
