White racist masked march in Boston draws condemnation: ‘Your hate is as cowardly as it is disgusting’

Several dozen white supremacists marched through the streets of Boston on Saturday.

The men, some of whom carried police shields and flags, were part of the white supremacist group Patriotic Front, reports CBS Boston. At one point, they boarded a subway train at a downtown stop.

The march drew condemnation from Boston Mayor Michelle Wu.

“To the white racists who ran downtown today: When we march, we don’t hide our faces,” Wu tweeted. “Your hatred is as cowardly as it is disgusting and goes against everything Boston stands for.”

No arrests reported.

Last month, a group of 31 men believed to be members of the Patriotic Front were arrested near the parade in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The men were found in a U-Haul truck that contained shields and at least one smoke grenade. Police believe they planned a riot.

The Southern Poverty Law Center describes the Patriotic Front as a “white nationalist hate group.”
