Two arrested in Manchester after Thomas Campbell, 38, killed in ‘horrific attack’ | UK news

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder following a “targeted” and “horrifying” attack in Greater Manchester.

Thomas Campbell, 38, was found dead at an address on Riverside in Mossley at around 10.30am last Sunday.

In what detectives described as “huge steps”, two men, aged 31 and 37, were arrested on Thursday and Friday.

Both remain in custody.

The investigation into the murder is being carried out at a “quick pace”, Manchester police said.

“These arrests are huge steps in our homicide investigation as we piece together what was a horrific attack and get the family the answers they so desperately need,” said Detective Inspector Mark Davies of the Major Incident Squad.

“Our investigation continues to be very much into what we still believe was targeted and deliberate [incident].”
