Authorities responded to a horrific car crash in Staten Island that left three people dead and several injured Sunday night, police said.

The victims who died were all teenagers, officials said. They were riding in a red Ford Mustang that collided with a GMC Yukon, the New York Daily News reported.

Police responded to the crash on Victory Boulevard in the Tottenville neighborhood around 8:50 p.m., according to the report.

The impact of the collision was enough to split the Mustang in two, photos and videos from the scene show.

Photographs of the wreckage appear to indicate that up to five vehicles may have been involved in the crash.

Photos have also emerged showing the front half of the barely recognizable Mustang resting on the side of the road, with no front bumper, airbags inflated and broken windows in the street.

Several emergency vehicles, including a fire engine and an ambulance, were also seen in the area as bystanders watched nearby.
