Orillia OPP found a large quantity of cocaine and cannabis after stopping the vehicle for stunt driving
A driver who came to the attention of Orillia OPP for speeding is now facing several charges along with the passenger in the vehicle.
On July 14, at 8:30 a.m., Orillia police officers conducted an operation and detained the driver for stunt driving. It got worse for the 20-year-old.
Police found cannabis available to the driver as well as suspected cocaine in the vehicle. During the search, the police found a large amount of cocaine and cannabis in the car.
As a result, police charged Cole Crawford, 20, of Woodville with the following:
- Possession of Schedule 1 substance – Cocaine, CSDA 4(1)
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
- Possession of proceeds of crime – under $5,000
- Possession of illegal cannabis (CA)
- Distribution of Illicit Cannabis (CA)
- Driving a motor vehicle – performing a stunt – excessive speed (HTA)
The suspect’s car was impounded for 14 days.
Alexis Williams, also 20, of Severn Township, was charged with the following offences:
- Possession of Schedule 1 substance – Cocaine, CSDA 4(1)
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
- Possession of proceeds of crime – under $5,000
- Possession of illegal cannabis (CA)
- Distribution of Illicit Cannabis (CA)
Both accused have been released on bail and will appear in court in Orlya on August 30, 2022 to answer the charges.
