A second Mississauga teenager has been arrested in connection with a deadly triple shooting at a popular Niagara Falls tourist attraction in April.
Niagara Regional Police responded to a shooting on Clifton Hill near the Great Canadian Midway around 12:30 a.m. on April 8.
Police arrived at the tourist attraction and found three males under the age of 18 with gunshot wounds.
One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene and the other two were taken to hospital with serious injuries, police said. These victims survived.
On July 19, police said a 17-year-old Mississauga male was arrested and charged with a number of offenses including attempted murder, aggravated assault, robbery, intentional discharge of a firearm, reckless discharge of a firearm, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime, and theft of a motor vehicle.
The suspect cannot be named under the terms of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
On August 10, police confirmed that a second Mississauga suspect had been arrested in connection with the shooting.
The 18-year-old man faces multiple charges including robbery, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime, theft of a motor vehicle and failure to comply.
As the suspect was under 18 at the time of the offence, his name will not be released under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The man was scheduled to appear in court for a bail hearing on Aug. 10 in St. Catharines.
