Toronto residents are being urged to be vigilant after people posing as City of Toronto water officials recently attempted to enter homes and collect personal information.
In an Aug. 10 tweet, the city said it was “currently conducting CCTV/smoke/dye tests on the sewer system to identify defects,” but they said staff should not enter homes to do this work and staff will never ask residents for personal information.
