A 16-year-old boy was stabbed near a park in South London after a “battle”

a 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death near a park in south London on Wednesday afternoon.

Police were called to a fight on the spot on Angus Street, New Cross, near Fordham Park, where they found a boy suffering from stab wounds.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, the boy was found dead on the spot.

His family is aware, police said.

Police also cordoned off the nearby Chitalishte Evelyn

For part of the park in front of the community center “Munshot” was set a cordon for crimes with about ten police cars and ambulances at the scene.

A helicopter from the London ambulance was called for the stabbing.

Police have sealed the nearby Evelyn Chitalishte Center as part of their investigation. Officers can be seen entering the center in vests, with a police van present at the scene.

Scotland Yard said no arrests had been made.

Following the incident, a Section 60 warrant was issued, giving police additional powers to stop and search the entire Louisham district.
