Parts of Wales saw wonderful weather on Good Friday as people flocked to the beaches.
The eastern parts of Wales seem to have benefited more from the sunshine on April 15, with temperatures as high as 19 ° C in Cardiff and 20 ° C in Monmouth, according to the weather service. Our photographer visited the island of Bari and found that the coast is crowded with people soaking up the sun. Scroll down to see our photos.
Swansea and the Gower Peninsula were not so sunny or warm, as temperatures reached a maximum of about 15C in more cloudy skies. But it was still a wonderful day for a walk along the coast. You can get more weather news and other story updates by subscribing to our newsletters here.

The weather service said it was the hottest day in Britain so far. Mercury hit 22 degrees in St James’s Park in London, according to the forecaster. However, some western parts of Wales were much less fortunate, with temperatures in St. David, Pembrokeshire, reaching 12C amid cloudy weather.
Looking to the weather in Wales over the next few days, the Met Office said: “Fog and fog clear up on Saturday morning as low clouds also rise. Dry, but in the afternoon with some bright and maybe sunny periods. It feels warm, although cooler on the shores. Maximum temperature 16C.
“Warm and mostly dry at Easter, although the rain arrives later. This clearing early on Easter Monday with bright periods and rain. The risk of rain returns on Tuesday.”
