Fire crews from all over North Devon rushed to the scene of an uncontrolled fire on a caravan in Fishleigh Barton near Umberleigh tonight. The fire started in a caravan on a farm and quickly spread to a barn containing potentially hazardous materials.
The A377 is currently closed and will likely remain closed for several hours. Drivers are advised to take extra time to travel and find alternative routes.
A spokesman for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that the incident was continuing and units had been called from across the county.

The spokesman confirmed that there were no casualties or injuries, but the teams remained on the scene to control the fire.
An environmental team has also been called to the scene.
