Russia bans Boris Johnson, Liz Truss and Ben Wallace from entering the country Russia

Russia’s foreign ministry has banned Boris Johnson, Liz Truss, Ben Wallace and 10 other members of the British government from entering the country.

The ministry said the decision was “in view of the unprecedented hostility of the UK government”.

Dominic Raab, Grant Shaps, Priti Patel, Rishi Sunak, Quasi Quarteng, Nadine Doris, James Happy, Nicola Sturgeon, Suela Braverman and Theresa May are also banned.

The news comes a week after the prime minister met with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in Kyiv to promise Britain’s “unwavering support” for the country as it fights the Russian invasion.

In a statement after the meeting, Johnson said: “Ukraine defied the odds and pushed Russian forces out of Kyiv’s gates, achieving the greatest military feat of the 21st century.

“Because of President Zelensky’s determined leadership and the invincible heroism and courage of the Ukrainian people, Putin’s monstrous goals have been thwarted.

The prime minister also outlined a plan for military aid to Ukraine, consisting of 120 armored vehicles and new anti-ship missile systems, in addition to high-quality military equipment worth 100 million British pounds.

Johnson also reaffirmed additional economic support, guaranteeing an additional $ 500 million [£385m] in World Bank loans to Ukraine, together with £ 394 million provided by the United Kingdom as a grant to ensure the continued operation of vital humanitarian services for Ukrainians.
