A truck driver who died tragically after being involved in a collision with another truck and three cars has been identified by police.
Gordon Ines of Invergorden was pronounced dead at the crash site of the A9 near Alnes in the Highlands on Tuesday (April 12th).
The family of the 58-year-old said he would be “severely absent” in a touching tribute, published along with a photo of the truck driver.
The accident happened north of the Schiach intersection at around 12.25 on Tuesday and involved two trucks and three cars.
Gordon Ines was the driver and only passenger in one of the trucks.

The other drivers and passengers were checked by the ambulance, but do not need hospital treatment.
Gordon’s family made the following statement: “Gordon will miss him very much.
“We would like to thank our family and friends for the support we received in times of need, and in this difficult time, we ask that our privacy be respected.
Sergeant Kate Park of Dingwall Traffic Police said: “Our thoughts remain with Gordon’s family and friends at this difficult time.
“Investigations into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing and we continue to urge anyone with information or possible camera footage from the area to call 101, citing incident number 1197 on April 12.
