Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool’s season will not be considered successful if his team does not add more to their trophy.

The Klopp campaign, in which the Carabao Cup is certain and three more big trophies are still possible in mid-April, already deserves applause because his club is in unprecedented territory.

But he knows that Liverpool will ultimately be judged on how much more they will win by May and will have a sense of climax if they win only one of the four races.

“Imagine if we had done the same thing for five years, eh?” That would be great. Semifinals (in April) and win nothing. The world is not ready for this kind of “success,” Klopp said.

“It’s so hard to do something in this club that our fathers and grandfathers didn’t do anymore. This particular thing, no one has done in this club. So it’s really special. But, yes, I know

if this is a success this year, it will not be seen as a success in the future.

“This year is especially intense, but it is pleasant and exciting. Is it likely to win the four races? No. Three races? No. Another? Let’s hope so. That would be nice.

“I do not think about the four. Imagine if I had to sit here and you wouldn’t ask me about it, but I would just keep mentioning the quadruple, and if I did, you’d think I was completely insane. ”

Something to give Wembley on Saturday afternoon, or the Liverpool four or Manchester City’s triple dream is over.

“He is massive, huge, brutal. But we don’t get any of that because we play against Manchester United three days later, “said Klopp.

“Yes, winning against City would be extraordinary, it doesn’t happen too often for anyone in the world of football and if you can achieve it, it’s amazing. But they are insanely good. There is not a single percentage that if we win, we are one step closer to what you want to call it. This would mean that we are in the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace or Chelsea and neither of them is a tourist. They would also like to go there and win. ”

Klopp believes that the break he gave Mohamed Salah in the middle of the week is essential to keep him fresh for the clash after several months of physical and emotional exhaustion.

He saw positive signs that Salah is ready to rediscover his goal-scoring form in the final weeks of this season.

“He had the busiest time of his career in January,” Klopp said.

“The tournament (African Cup of Nations) has gone on indefinitely. He has a huge responsibility on his shoulders with the meetings in the locker room and things like that without any recovery.

Then you have a problem being a superstar in your own country and everyone wants something from you.

“I know Mo will finish strong. We just have to reset ourselves right now, because every game is a final for us. ”
