Some businesses and services, closed on Good Friday and Easter, are open on Mondays.
Most restaurants will be open, but it’s a good idea to call in advance and check.
Here is a list of what is open and closed among some of the main businesses and public services on the Island.
- COVID-19 testing clinics in Charlottetown, Slimon Park and Borden-Carlton closed on Sunday and reopened on Monday.
- All schools are closed on Monday.
- All federal, provincial and municipal offices closed on Monday.
- The Sobeys, Co-op and Foodland stores will be closed on Easter, but will be open regularly on Mondays.
- Atlantic Superstores are closed on Easter, but will be open regularly on Mondays.
- Murphy’s Pharmacies are open Sunday and Monday.
- All PEI Liquor Control Commission stores are closed on Easter, but are open on Mondays.
- All PEI Cannabis stores will be closed on Sunday, but will be open on Mondays.
- The Confederation Court Mall is closed on Sundays, but the Shoppers Drug Mart in the mall is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Both offer regular business hours on Mondays.
- Charlottetown Mall will be closed for Easter, but will reopen on Monday.
- Summerside County Fair Mall is closed for Easter, but Lawton’s drugstore in the mall is open from noon to 5 p.m.
- Walmart is closed for Easter and reopens on Monday.
- The island’s waste management will have its regular collection on Monday.
- T3 Transit will not provide bus services for Easter, but will operate on its regular schedule on Monday.
- PEI’s public libraries are closed on Easter and reopen on Mondays.
- Canadian Post will not deliver mail on Monday.
