Two young boys arrive at a hospital in Glasgow after being stabbed in an attack on a street in East Kilbride

Two teenage boys were rushed to hospital after being stabbed in East Kilbride.

Police were notified of reports of a knife stabbing at around 9:30 pm last night (Friday) on Lickprivick Road.

The two, aged 15 and 16, were taken by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.

Their current condition is unknown at this time.

Officials say the investigation into the incident is ongoing and that they are following a positive line of investigation.

A Scottish police spokeswoman said: “Officers were called to Lycprivik Road, East Kilbride, to receive a stabbing signal at around 9.30pm on Friday.

“Two teenage boys, aged 15 and 16, were taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

“Investigations into the incident are ongoing and officers are following a positive line of investigation.”
