Two people were taken to hospital in serious but stable condition after an accident early in the morning in northwestern Calgary.
Calgary police told CTV News that officers were called to the scene of a 14-NW crash between Kensington Road and Memorial Drive around 2:30 p.m.
When they arrived, they found that two people were injured and that the driver of one of the vehicles appeared to be disabled.
EMS says two people, an elderly man and an elderly woman, were taken to Foothills Medical Center in serious but stable condition.
Police say the driver has been detained on the spot and is facing charges of driving with disabilities.
The investigation continues.
