A second Briton captured in battle in Ukraine was paraded by cheerful Russian media.
State television NTV showed a video of 48-year-old Sean Pinner, who looked broken, and said he had served in Ukraine’s 36th Marine Brigade, “which surrendered a few days ago.”
Aiden Aslin, a Briton who fought with Piner in the besieged port of Mariupol, was shown handcuffed and bruised in a video released last week.
Only Piner’s head and shoulders, in a blue long-sleeved top, could be seen in the new video, where he looked seated. He spoke clearly and without emotion. No obvious injuries were seen.
