One person died early in the morning in a car accident in Flintshire on Easter. The collision, which occurred on the A548 in Gronant, near Prestatin, just before 5 am, also left another person in critical condition in hospital.
North Wales police have called for witnesses to the clash between Gronant Hill and the Talcare roundabout, which forced road closures while emergency services were working on the scene, North Wales Live reported. A police spokesman confirmed that a family liaison officer had been appointed to support the families of those involved.
In a statement, Sergeant Emlin Hughes said: “Silver BMW was involved in a collision this morning. One person was taken to hospital and is in critical condition, and unfortunately the other person in the vehicle died.

“A family liaison officer has been appointed,” Sergeant Hughes continued. “We urge anyone who has been in the area or may have witnessed the clash, which took place around 4.54 am, to contact us. Receive all the latest news from WalesOnline directly in your inbox with our newsletters.
Witnesses or anyone with information or camera footage that could assist the investigation have been asked to contact North Wales police. They can do this by dialing 101, quoting incident number 22000263059.

The crash came just hours after three teenagers were seriously injured in a crash near Pulheli. A blue Ford Fiesta ST crashed into an A499 wall in Llanbedrog shortly before 10pm on Saturday (April 16th), North Wales police confirmed.
Emergency services arrived and three teenagers in the car were taken to hospital with serious injuries. One was transported from the scene to a specialized hospital in Stoke, and two were taken by ambulance to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor. Since then, one has been transferred from Bangor to Stoke.
