PITTSBURG, Pennsylvania – Pittsburgh police are investigating after 10 people were shot dead and two minors were killed in a mass shooting on early Easter Sunday in the East Allegheny neighborhood of the North Side.

The victims were identified by the forensic medical service late Sunday night as 17-year-old Jaden Brown and 17-year-old Matthew Steffi-Ross.

Videos that have been circulating on social media show the moments when they were shot at a party in the north of Pittsburgh.

Police initially said 11 people had been shot, but updated those numbers at a lunch press conference. Now they say 10 people were shot, 2 were killed and another 5 had other related injuries, such as broken bones, as they tried to escape the shooting.
Pittsburgh police say they received a number of ShotSpotter alerts shortly after 12:30 a.m. on block 800 on Suismon Street.

When police arrived in the area, more shots were heard and several young men were running on foot and driving away from an Airbnb property on Suismon Street and Madison Avenue.
Police say there was a big party at Airbnb with about 200 people in attendance. Police said many of those present were minors.

About 50 shots were fired inside the house and another 50 shots were fired outside the house, police said.
Many people who jumped out of the windows received broken bones, cuts and other minor injuries.
Several victims of the shooting arrived at various hospitals in and out of the city with private funds, police said.

So far, it has been confirmed that at least 10 people have been shot dead and two underage men have died.
Police say there are at least eight different crime scenes related to the incident.
Detectives spoke with witnesses and reviewed available videos of the incident.
