The Terrorism Screening Database (TSDB) contains information on the identities of those known or “reasonably suspected” of being involved in terrorist activities. Republican lawmakers have repeatedly called on the administration to make public the number of people met at the border.
“Reports indicate that many people with terrorist connections have recently been detained following illegal border crossings and that such meetings may increase,” said James Comer and John Catko, who serve as senior members of the Oversight and Homeland Security Committees. to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mallorca last month.
“The American people deserve to know whether President Biden’s weak border policy allows terrorists to enter our homeland,” they said.
HOUSE HOMELAND REPUBLICANS PUBLIC DHS WHY NUMBER OF MIGRANTS IN THE TERROR DATABASE IS NOT PUBLIC
Former Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott has repeatedly warned of the number of TSDBs crossing the border, telling colleagues last year that it was “at a level we have never seen before.”
“We have terrorist threats that we can’t get into this type of forum, but they are real,” he told Fox News’s Brett Bayer in October.
Republicans in the commissions have also requested documents showing the number of TSDB-related migrants in each fiscal year from 2016 to date, as well as information on their countries of origin.
They also asked for any data to estimate the number of people who crossed the border but eventually escaped from the border patrol.

Fox News reported earlier this month that more than 62,000 illegal immigrants fled from border patrol agents in March, averaging about 2,000 a day.
The numbers come when the Biden administration is once again faced with incredible numbers, which are huge agents and resources. According to CBP documentation last week, agents met more than 212,000 migrants at the border in March, more than every month last year.
