Alexander Usik’s immediate focus may be a rematch with Anthony Joshua, but the Ukrainian will prepare for all the possibilities this Saturday by studying Tyson Fury’s fight with Dillian White before a potentially indisputable confrontation between the couple.
The 35-year-old is set to defend his WBA, WBO and IBF belts against Joshua this summer after ending the Briton’s second reign as world champion with a unanimous victory in points at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last September.
Fury, who will put his WBC title on the line against White at Wembley this weekend, is set to be a possible next opponent if Usik defeats Joshua again, who can secure a long-awaited battle for all Britons by regaining his belt.
Usik’s team has confirmed that it will be in the capital over the weekend to watch Fury in action.
“Definitely yes [we will be watching the fight]”Alexander Krasyuk, Usik’s promoter, told Sky Sports.
“Egis Klimas [Usyk’s manager] and I plan to attend the event and watch it from the ring.
“In Usik’s training camp, he will watch and study the battle on television.”

White showed a punching force that can knock out any heavyweight. Should Tyson Fury be afraid of him?
Fury had previously suggested he plans to retire after his fight with White, a claim his father John quickly dismissed.
The 33-year-old insisted on Thursday that he did not underestimate White like the others and therefore planned to postpone further retirement talks until then.
“To be honest with you, I only think about Dillian White, I don’t think about retirement,” he said. “This will come after the battle, we will think about what will happen and what the future holds for me.
“I have a huge task at Dillon right now. Many people underestimate Dillian White, but not me. I give him the respect he deserves throughout the training camp.
“I do not underestimate this man, I respect him, as I did to Diontay Wilder and everyone else.

Fury says his fight for the world title against White will be the biggest match in the British heavyweight division after Lennox Lewis against Frank Bruno
Fury and Joshua appear to be on the verge of a clash, but these plans were thwarted after Fury was ordered to fight a third battle with Deontay Wilder and Joshua was defeated by Usik.
White also hopes to fulfill his ambitions for the world title by defeating Fury in a mandatory blow, which he won after stopping in the fourth round of Alexander Povetkin in their rematch last March.
