Watch live how Boris Johnson faces MPs after Partygate fines an apology
Boris Johnson will soon face discontent with MPs over the Partygate scandal, the government’s new immigration agreement with Rwanda and the comments he made about the Church of England and the BBC.
Earlier today, the church accused the prime minister of “shameful slander” against the Archbishop of Canterbury, after criticizing the government’s new agreement with the African country.
According to sources close to the prime minister, he said in a private meeting with Tory MPs that plans to send some asylum seekers to Rwanda were “good policy”, despite some “criticism of the BBC and senior clergy”.
He added that they “were less violent in their condemnation of Putin’s Easter than our policy on illegal immigrants.”
The comments provoked a quick response from John Bingham, head of media at the Church of England, who said in a social media post that if the reports from the meeting were correct, they were “shameful slander”.
SNP MP Joanna Cherry called Mr Johnson’s comments a “dirty lie” and said “the church’s job is to call for immorality”.

Blackford asks the prime minister if he lied about breaking the Covid law
Westminster SNP leader Ian Blackford asked Boris Johnson if the Scottish public was right to believe he had lied about breaking Covid laws.
Mr Blackford said: “Last night the Prime Minister may have persuaded his buttocks and his invertebrate Scottish Tories to keep him in place for a few more weeks, but the public is not so easily misled.
“82% of people in Scotland said they believed the prime minister had lied to this parliament and the public about his violators of Covid parties. Are they right? Or should they not believe their false eyes? “
The prime minister said: “Yesterday we had a long conversation about this. I understand the meaning of his question, but we will continue to work to deliver for the people of the whole of the United Kingdom.

Starmer accuses the prime minister of choosing to “slander worthy people” in private, but does not have the “backbone to repeat it publicly”
The Labor leader said Boris Johnson had chosen to “slander decent people” in private, but did not have “the backbone to repeat it publicly”.
He told the Commons: “He never takes responsibility for his words or actions. Everyone was there. The prime minister also accused the BBC of not being critical enough of Putin.
“Will the Prime Minister have the courage to say this to (BBC reporters) Clive Miri, Liz Dusset and Steve Rosenberg, who risk their lives every day on the front lines in Russia and Ukraine, exposing Putin’s barbarism? ”
Mr Johnson replied: “If (Sir Keir) wants to join the Conservative Party and come and listen to the Conservative Party meetings, he is welcome to do so, but, as I said, I think he is a corbinist in suit from Islington.
“But I did not say anything like that and I feel the greatest admiration as a former journalist for what journalists do. I think they do an exceptional job. I think he should withdraw what he just said – it has absolutely no basis or basis in truth. “
Sir Cair objected that Mr Corbyn no longer had the Labor whip.
He added: “This is how he acts: an apology with a dirty mouth when the cameras are spinning, a viscous attack on those who tell the truth as soon as the cameras are turned off. Slander worthy people in a private room, let the slander spread without a backbone, so that it can be repeated in public. ”

Prime Minister accuses Starmer of distorting Doctor Who’s Time
Boris Johnson accuses Labor leader Sir Keir Starmer of sinking into “Dr. Koy’s time warp” because he was asked to resign over the party’s door.
Sir Keir told the City Council: “Allegra Stratton has laughed at breaking the rules. She resigned. The prime minister then said he was angry with her behavior and accepted her resignation.
“Professor Neil Ferguson broke the rules. He also resigned. The prime minister said that was the right thing to do.
“The former health secretary (Matt Hancock) broke the rules. He also resigned. The prime minister tried to claim that he had fired him. Why does the Prime Minister think that the actions of everyone else have consequences except his own?
Mr Johnson replied: “I think it’s kind of a distortion of Dr. Koi’s time. We had this conversation yesterday, Mr President, and I explained why I bitterly regretted receiving the FPN (fixed penalty notice) and apologizing to the Chamber.

Boris Johnson supports the attack on the Church of England over immigration
Boris Johnson has backed his attack on the Anglican Church after its top cleric criticized its immigration policy.
The Archbishop of Canterbury criticized the Prime Minister’s plan to deport refugees to Rwanda in an Easter sermon, warning that he could not “endure God’s judgment.”
But at a private meeting of Tory MPs on Tuesday afternoon, Mr Johnson sought to deflect criticism, arguing that the clergy had been “less harsh” in criticizing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
The attack was called a “disgraceful slander” by Lambeth Palace on Thursday night, but the prime minister refused to apologize in parliament on Wednesday when it was challenged.

Starmer: Why did Allegra Stratton resign?
The Labor leader wonders why Allegra Stratton, a former Downing Street spokeswoman, was forced to resign.
The Prime Minister replied: “I am bitterly sorry for Allegra’s resignation.
I think it was very sad and I think she did a great job … especially since she was the one who coined the phrase ‘coal, cars, money and trees’, which allowed the United Kingdom to hold a fantastic summit. Cop 26 last year ”

Keir Starmer “arms” Covid tragedies, says Tory MP Michael Fabrikant
Conservative MP Michael Fabricant has accused Labor leader Sir Keir Starmer of “arming” the personal tragedies of the British public with his attacks on Partygate.
Sir Kear said he had spoken to John Robinson, a member of Mr Fabricant in Lichfield, about how he had obeyed Covid’s rules and failed to spend time with his wife before she died.
But the Tory MP said he was “under” the Labor leader to use his electorate and others who lost loved ones during the pandemic to condemn Boris Johnson.
