Two people died after an accident on the A39 near Bude. At around 11 a.m. Monday (April 18th), emergency services were called to signal a collision involving a van and motorcycle at Collamoor Head, near Wainhouse Corner.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 60s, and his passenger, a woman in her 60s, both from the Truro area, were fatally injured and pronounced dead on the spot. A 50-year-old man from the Camelford area has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving under the influence of alcohol. He remains in custody.
The road was closed for more than eight hours and police thanked the public for their patience during the investigation of the scene. Devon and Cornwall police officers are calling for witnesses.

Traffic police officers and investigators arrived on the scene to clarify the circumstances surrounding the accident.
