Authorities have arrested the death of Orsol Gaal, a 51-year-old wife and mother who was stabbed to death in a horrific murder in New York. David Bonola, 44, is charged with murder, first-degree forgery and fourth-degree possession of a weapon, police said Thursday morning.
At a news conference Thursday morning, New York City Police Detective James Esig said Bonola and Gaal had been in a “wrong” relationship for at least two years while he was hired as a foreman at the family home.

The two are said to have reunited in early April, but their relationship was considered over at the time of Gaal’s death, police said.
Police said Bonola was identified by investigators as a suspect wanted for questioning, and he voluntarily returned to the area where he testified.
Around 12:30 to 12:40 on Saturday morning, police believe Bonola entered Gaal’s home. Although they cannot say whether he was released voluntarily or used a key he knows is hidden in a barbecue outside, police said Bonola and Gaal had a “domestic” argument before Bonola brandished a knife and to stab Gaal at least 55 times.
The knife is in line with other knives in the home and was found on the spot by police. It is alleged that Bonola then placed Gaal’s body in a hockey bag belonging to her son. Video evidence shows him rolling his bag on the sidewalk in Queens, leaving a blood trail behind.
Early Saturday morning, police responded to a 911 call and found Gaal’s body in a luggage bag and a “blood trail” that led to her residence in Forest Park, Queens.
They believe that after leaving Gaal’s house, Bonola fled through Forest Park. Police found a jacket they believe he was wearing at the time of the crime. Other investigators also found boots, a T-shirt and bloody bandages in second place.
Bonola is said to have been treated on Saturday at a local medical facility for wounds in both hands that police believe Gaal gave him during a “violent struggle” for her life.
Gabe Veras, manager of Forest Hills Station House in Queens, told CBS New York that the video showed Gaal at the bar on Friday night and staff seeing her there.
“Orsolya was here on Friday around 11:45 to 12:30. She came in alone, she came out alone. “It had its usual, a Moscow mule,” Veras said.

Gaal was a regular, often alone, he said. Veras says he spoke to her last Tuesday.
She had returned from a concert to see her favorite composer, “Veras said.” She was delighted. She was thrilled to see this composer live. She did a lot of art and music. ”
Sources told CBS, New York, that they went to the show at Lincoln Center with friends on Friday night. She returned to Queens, visited a local bar, and then returned to her home on Juneau Street.
Police said her husband and 17-year-old son were out of town when the incident occurred. Her 13-year-old son was questioned in the case but was released. Authorities said Thursday that although Gaal’s body was found belonging to her son, who slept in the house at the time of her death, they do not believe he woke up before Bonola left home.
Police also said a message sent from Gaal’s phone to her husband outside the city, warning of burglary, was completely fake and sent by Bonola.
Police are still awaiting further forensic evidence and are looking for more videos, but there are no other unknown suspects so far. Authorities said Thursday they believe they have more than enough evidence to accuse Bonola of the murder.
