Halton Region has moved to weekly COVID-19 updates.
The latest COVID-19 statistics from the Halton region show five additional deaths to the total. Three of the deaths were Burlington residents, bringing the city’s total to 172. The other two deaths were attributed to Oakville, giving the city a total of 127 deaths. Milton was left with a total of 75 deaths. Halton Hills remains with a total of 72 deaths. Halton now has a total of 446 deaths from COVID-19.
Halton has 137 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 56,182. There have been a total of 1,598 hospitalizations in Halton and 446 deaths.
In Milton we had 21 new cases. This brings us to a total of 14,621 cases. There have been a total of 358 hospitalizations in Milton and 75 deaths.
There are currently two reported outbreaks in Milton:
- Allendale Long Term Care Home – Halton House
- United Life 165
Looking at the number of people vaccinated, a total of 1,500,147 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,338,200 of the doses are for Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown by age of those receiving doses:
- A total of 5,003 doses were administered to people aged <5;
- 73,981 total doses were administered to people aged 5-11 years;
- A total of 110,445 doses were administered to people aged 12-17 years;
- 112,926 total doses were administered to people aged 18-24;
- 72,757 total doses were administered to people aged 25-29;
- 86,031 total doses were administered to people aged 30-34;
- 101,238 total doses were administered to people aged 35-39;
- 109,312 total doses were administered to people aged 40-44;
- 115,739 total doses were administered to people aged 45-49;
- 119,191 total doses were administered to people aged 50-54;
- 116,774 total doses were administered to people aged 55-59;
- 109,320 total doses were administered to people aged 60-64;
- 97,617 total doses were administered to people aged 65-69 years;
- 91,605 total doses were administered to people aged 70-74 years;
- 73,700 total doses were administered to people aged 75-79; and,
- A total of 104,508 doses were administered to people over 80 years of age.
The following is where the vaccine doses were given:
- A total of 456,829 doses were administered through pharmacies and doctors’ offices;
- 36,402 total doses were administered through other clinical settings;
- A total of 1,006,916 doses were administered through community and hospital clinics.
