Emergency Act probe: Trudeau defends COVID-19 mandates, denies calling unvaccinated names

On Friday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau defended his government’s implementation of its COVID-19 mandates for truck drivers, as well as air and rail travel. Saying he relies on health officials, scientists and experts to make those decisions to protect Canadians, he went on to deny that he named the unvaccinated “names.” Rather, he said he was highlighting the differences between those who are hesitant to get vaccinated “for whatever reason” and people who are “deliberately spreading misinformation.”
