Canada’s nature conservation is moving towards a fundraising goal

The Canadian Conservation Organization is making progress toward its $ 3 million fundraising goal for Keep the Rock Healthy.

Fundraising was launched to help promote nature conservation in the province.

Nature Conservancy spokesman Andrew Holland provided an Earth Day update for the VOCM Open Line with Paddy Daly.

He says they have already raised more than $ 1 million and hope to raise more, which will be combined with federal funding. Holland says the money will help expand nature reserves such as the Salmonier Nature Reserve and the Grand Codroy Estuary and double the number of youth internships in the province.

Cenovus recently donated $ 3 million to Canada’s Conservation of Nature as part of the company’s social investment strategy.
