The plans have since gone through a well-known process of in-depth review in Arlington County, including numerous public hearings. Earlier this month, the district planning committee voted 9-0 to support the project.
On Saturday, the district council voted 5-0 to approve the plans. They also include a park space and will have a public high school, along with shops on the ground floor.
