Manchester United boss Ralph Rangnik has resigned after it emerged that Jesse Lingard called the club’s locker room a “disaster” for Paul Scholes. The Red Devils were defeated 3-1 by Arsenal in Saturday’s clash at the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium. And that result means they are likely to play in the Europa League next term.
Manchester United entered their match with Arsenal, hoping to respond after being defeated 4-0 by Liverpool for the last time.
But although the performance was better against the Gunners, they still lost 3-1 after goals from Nuno Tavares, Bucaio Saka and Granit Jaca.
After the match, Scholes revealed that he had recently spoken to Lingard – who apparently called the club’s locker room a “disaster”.
“I had a quick conversation with Jesse [Lingard] that day, ”said the midfielder, who won the lottery with United during his playing days.
“I’m sure I wouldn’t mind saying – the locker room is just a disaster.”

“Today was better than Tuesday, improved performance. We had to score more goals than we did, “he said.
“We came back from a bad start and we had a lot of chances. He hit the beam and the beam twice. We had enough chances for a better result.
“The only thing we didn’t do well was defend ourselves in and around our own lodge. This is a problem throughout the season. We had to defend ourselves better. The third goal was pure offside and I don’t understand why VAR didn’t intervene.
“But with our possession we created enough chances to score two or even three goals.
“They [the players] are very disappointed and disappointed. If we took the penalty, it would have changed the whole game, but we didn’t.

“We hit the crossbar and made another decision for VAR, we thought Cristiano’s goal was not offside. There were three unfortunate VAR decisions against us, there was also a decision with handball in the penalty area.
“But we have to deal with it again and deal with it. Improved performance, but a disappointing result
“We need to defend ourselves better. We conceded an average of three goals in the last three games, we were much better a few weeks ago. “
United legend Rio Ferdinand also reacted to the defeat.
And he admitted that things have gotten worse since Rangnik took office.
“First, honor to Arsenal,” he said.
“They did the job, by no means a top performance today, but they got what they needed at this point in the season, and that’s three points.
“Manchester United, they had the opportunity to return to this game, they had chances, obviously the penalty.
“They were there to take over Arsenal, but Manchester United did not smell blood and big moments like the ones they have to learn to accept.
He then added: “To be brutally honest, (Ralph) Rangnik came in and got worse.”
