April 24 (Reuters) – Ukraine repulsed numerous Russian attacks on the Donbass line of contact this week, according to an update from the British military on Sunday.

Although Russia has achieved some territorial successes, Ukrainian resistance has been strong on all fronts and has caused significant costs to Russian forces, the UK Ministry of Defense tweeted in a regular newsletter.

“Poor Russian morale and limited time to rebuild, re-equip and reorganize forces from previous offensives are likely to hamper Russia’s combat effectiveness,” the update added.

Reuters could not immediately verify the report.
