A motorcyclist died in a serious accident that closed the A249 and saw an ambulance called to the scene

A 50-year-old motorcyclist died after colliding with an A249 car. The accident happened around 3.20pm on Saturday (April 23rd) and involved a gray BMW, a blue Vauxhall and a Harley Davidson motorcycle on the north lane of the A249 near Dunaway.

Officers were present at the scene along with the Southeast Coast Ambulance Service, and an air ambulance was also available. The motorcyclist was found dead on the spot.

Kent police are now appealing for witnesses and footage from the billboard after the fatal clash. Anyone with information should call 01622 798538 or email sciu.td@kent.pnn.police.uk, citing reference AH / SC / 047/22.

A statement said in full: “Investigators are appealing for witnesses and dashboard footage following the fatal collision of the A249. At around 3.20pm on Saturday, April 23, 2022, a collision occurred with a gray BMW, a blue Vauxhall and a Harley Davidson motorcycle on the north lane of the A249 near Dunaway.

“Kent police are present along with the Southeast Coast Ambulance Service and the motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, has been pronounced dead at the scene. Serious Collision Investigation Officers (SCIUs) are investigating and calling on anyone who has witnessed the collision or who has a scoreboard to contact them.

“Anyone with information should call 01622 798538 or email sciu.td@kent.pnn.police.uk, citing reference AH / SC / 047/22.”
