Police have launched a large-scale search of a popular beauty spot after a man was arrested for the disappearance of a 33-year-old woman.
Katie Kenyon, 33, is believed to have left an address in Burnley on Friday morning before traveling with a man in a silver Ford Transit van to Bolton near Bowland – located in Bowland Forest – a designated area of outstanding natural beauty.
Her insane family says Katie’s disappearance is uncommon and they are extremely concerned about her well-being.
The Lancashire Police Investigation Team today issued a call to anyone who may have seen Katie or who has camera footage to come out, no matter how insignificant it may seem, Lancashire Live reported.
Katie is described as white, 33.5 feet 9 inches, with blond hair to the shoulders and was last seen wearing a blue cardigan, light blue and white top, black leggings and flip flops.
Police today confirmed that a 50-year-old Burnley man had been arrested in connection with the investigation and was “currently assisting police in the investigation”.
A Lancashire police spokesman told The Mirror that the man had been detained on suspicion of kidnapping but had not yet been charged.

Chief Inspector Al Davis of the Force Major Investigation Team said: “Katie’s disappearance is not typical and her family is understandably very worried.
“We are doing everything possible to try to find her, and I would urge anyone who has any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem to you, to come forward and contact us.
“I would especially like to hear from anyone who has been to Bolton near Bowland or the surrounding area and seen something suspicious so that we can get in touch.
“Did you see a woman matching Katie’s description, alone or with a man?”
“Have you seen the silver transit van or maybe you have footage from the dashboard showing it.
“While we were arresting someone in connection with our investigation, I am very open about what happened and I have a team of staff who are working hard to try to find Katie and return her to her family.
“You could help with this, so please go ahead and talk to us, as your information may be crucial.
