A crash on Ashley Road in Bristol injured a pedestrian as a car “intentionally crashed” into it

Yesterday (April 23rd), a car was aimed at a pedestrian in the Bristol district of the city center, police said.

The victim, a 23-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment after Ashley Road’s incident shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday. He has since been released, police said.

Officers are now investigating the incident on a busy road passing through St. Paul’s and Montpellier, and Avon and Somerset police have issued a statement.

A spokesman said: “We are investigating an incident in which a car was intentionally driven to an Ashley Road pedestrian, Bristol, just before 3 am on Saturday (April 23rd). The victim, a 23-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment and then discharged. “

Det Insp Amanda Wilde said: “We have conducted a number of investigations at the scene, including forensic scientists, and officers continue to review CCTV footage from across the area.

“We have found what we believe the vehicle was involved in and we are now giving priority to identifying and locating passengers who were inside at the time. We would like to reassure the local community that we believe this is an isolated incident.
