The first photos of a girl and her mother killed in a Russian missile strike in Odessa have surfaced – as outrage in Ukraine grows from the attack.

Rockets fired by a strategic bomber killed eight people in their apartments, Ukraine said, including three-month-old Kira.

Her mother, Valeria Glodan, 27, and her Russian grandmother were also reportedly killed.

Four weeks after Kira’s birth on January 4, her mother wrote: “These were the best 40 weeks of my life.

“Our baby is already a month old.

“Her father gave her her first flowers.

“This is a whole new level of happiness.”

In Ukraine, Vladimir Putin is outraged by the rocket attack on Odessa, which hit the family’s apartment building, while he is believed to have aimed at a military target with the help of a Tu-95 strategic bomber flying over the Caspian Sea.

The mayor of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov said in front of the broken apartment block: “Behind me is what [Russian] the occupiers call it a “military facility.”

“What they hit today with their high-precision weapons is called a military facility.

“Eight people were killed, one of them a three-month-old girl, a resident of Odessa, who was not given a chance to see life.

“You are dead, I hope you burn in hell.”

Eighteen people were injured, according to reports.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said: “The world has not seen such barbarism for 80 years.

His chief of staff, Andriy Yermark, said: “Nothing is sacred … Evil will be punished.”

Kira’s family had Russian roots and spoke Russian.

Her loving grandmother Lyudmila Yavkina, 53, is from Novosibirsk, the largest city in Siberia.

After her wedding to Kira Yuri’s father on July 30, 2019, Valeria, a brand manager who also studies journalism in Odessa, announced: “This was the best day!

“Thank you, my dear husband, this was the happiest start to our family history.

“We will remember the wedding day forever – and we thank all our family members and friends for being with us.”

The contrite father wrote: “My dear ones, Kingdom of Heaven! You are in our hearts! ”

A statement from the Ukrainian parliament said: “Charming young mother and her three-month-old child.”

“Their lives were taken from Russia today when a Russian rocket hit an apartment building in Odessa … RIP, our angels.”

The anger was reflected in the comments of ordinary Ukrainians.

One read, “What an absolute, utter horror. Why did they die, why? Where the hell is justice? “

Another said, “Dear God, why did you leave us all? Why did this beautiful family have to fall apart, why did you end the life of three generations, the young mother, her angelic daughter and the loving grandmother … ??

“What did they do?” My heart will never be healed. ”

Another simply said, “We will never forgive this.”

Another reading: “All of Ukraine is crying today, everyone in Odessa has a broken heart.

“There is nothing to justify what happened. We will never forget that. ”

This happened when Mr. Putin was shown footage that apparently attended a midnight liturgy at Christ the Savior Cathedral near the Kremlin in Moscow to mark Orthodox Easter.

He was holding a lighted candle, and when Patriarch Kirill, head of the Orthodox Church, said “Christ is risen,” Mr Putin joined the other worshipers in answering, “He is risen indeed.”

Russia’s defense ministry said it had struck a logistics terminal at a military airport, where Russia said it was storing a “large batch” of weapons from the United States and European countries.
