Strong winds and thunderstorms are expected in southern Ontario on Sunday night

Environment Canada has issued a special meteorological declaration for southern Ontario.

The statement covers Windsor-Essex, Chatham-Kent and up through Sarnia-Lambton, London-Middlesex, Huron-Perth, Waterloo-Wellington and Gray Bruce.

Isolated strong gusts of wind and thunderstorms are linked to a system expected late Sunday.

According to Environment Canada, thunderstorms are not expected to be particularly strong, but isolated gusts of wind up to 70 or 80 km / h will be possible.
