Police have arrested a man in connection with the disappearance of a woman in Burnley, Lancashire.
Katie Kenyon, 33, has been reported missing for the last time on Friday.
Police said a woman matching Ms. Kenyon’s description left an address on Todmordon Road with a man on Friday morning and was traveling in a silver MT57 FLC registered Ford Transit to the Bolton area near Bowland in northern Lancashire.
Mrs. Kenyon has not been heard from since.
Police say a 50-year-old Burnley man has been arrested in connection with their investigation and is assisting them in their investigations.
“Now this is a waiting game”
Ms. Kenyon’s desperate family said they were very concerned about her well-being.
Her sister Sarah Kenyon wrote on Facebook: “Now it’s a waiting game, we did our best, we searched everywhere, we connected with everyone.”
Detective Chief Al Davis of the Lancashire Police Investigation Team said: “Katie’s disappearance is not typical and her family is understandably very worried.
“We are doing everything possible to try to find her, and I would urge anyone who has any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem to you, to come forward and contact us.
“I would especially like to hear from anyone who has been to Bolton near Bowland or the surrounding area and seen something suspicious so that we can get in touch.
“Did you see a woman matching Katie’s description, alone or with a man?”
“Have you seen the silver transit van or you may have a record from a board showing it.”
Police “hold open opinion”
He added: “While we were arresting someone in connection with our investigation, I am very open about what happened and I have a team of staff who are working hard to try to find Katie and return her to her family.
“You could help with this, so please come out and talk to us, as your information may be crucial.”
