The North Van RCMP was called around 3 a.m. after shots were heard in the 400th block of East 11th Street.

“Investigators are working actively to identify the suspects and the intended target (s) of this shooting,” said an RCMP spokesman, a sergeant. Peter DeVries in edition.

The motive has not been established and there is no evidence that anyone was hit by the bullets.

“Witnesses say they saw two people, one of whom shot at the residence, flee the scene in a vehicle immediately after the shooting,” DeVries said.

The presumed escape vehicle is a newer model white Toyota RAV4. He was last seen south on Moody Avenue.

Although the goal is not immediately clear, the residence is “known to police and has been the subject of numerous reports of drugs, violence and other crimes in recent months,” DeVries said. Investigators are investigating links to other recent Vancouver subway shootings and the ongoing gang conflict.

“Gun violence has affected every community in the Lower Continent,” DeVries said. “We are united with our partners in all our communities to counter these reckless actions that threaten our neighborhoods.”
