The Trump – backed Senate candidate is dealing with an election lie in 2020
David Purdue, a former Georgia senator who has challenged incumbent Gov. Brian Kemp, kicked off a debate this weekend with his opponent, shattering Donald Trump’s false claim that the 2020 election was stolen – and that it was the governor’s fault. that it was allowed to happen in their Georgia.
There is no evidence to support this. Mr Purdue also tried to oppose Mr Kemp, accusing him of being a “career politician”, despite the fact that he himself was an incumbent senator until he was defeated by John Osoff last January.
Mr Perdue’s statement in front of the camera was accepted by many critics as an indicator of the state of the pro-Trump wing of the Republican Party. And yet, despite his close ties to the former president, if the vote is anything, it seems Mr Perdue is ready to lose a lot of the race.

Watch the latest weird Senate commercial by a former Trump supporter
Alabama congressman Mo Brooks suffered a serious setback in the Senate campaign when Donald Trump withdrew his approval, citing an otherwise loyal follower that Republicans should stop focusing on the 2020 election. There has been much speculation that given that Mr Brooks was already fading in the polls, Mr Trump was actually more concerned that he might end up supporting a loser.
Whatever the reality, Mr Brooks is still fighting for open space, which means going through fierce primary elections. And his latest TV spot is a really strange effort to cut …

Republicans running for governor of Georgia argue over losing election in 2020
The two leading Republicans running for governor of Georgia, former Senator David Purdue and incumbent Gov. Brian Kemp, faced losses in the 2020 and 2021 Republican elections in Sunday’s first of three debates.
Mr Purdue went on to say that the Democrats had fraudulently won the 2020 presidential election and the 2021 US Senate run-off in Georgia.
He also blamed Kemp for democratic control in Washington, while the incumbent governor retaliated and said Mr Purdue was trying to shift the blame for his own loss to Democrat John Osoff.
“The 2020 election was rigged and stolen,” Mr Purdue was quoted as saying in a debate sponsored by WSB-TV in Atlanta.
“All the madness we see today … everything that started right here in Georgia, when our governor stepped back and allowed the radical Democrats to steal our election.”
According to state law, Mr. Kemp had to certify the results and has repeatedly said that any other course would lead to endless litigation.
“You have a candidate who will attack my record, unfortunately, all night tonight, because they did not have a record there to beat John Osoff in 2020,” said Mr. Kemp.

Pierce Morgan called Trump “pathological”
Pierce Morgan revealed new details about what happened during his interview with Donald Trump, which apparently led the former president to flee.
“When we got to the election results and by January 6, I just looked him straight in the eye and said I wanted to be aware of you, I don’t agree that this election was stolen from you or that it was rigged,” Morgan told Fox. News on Sunday.
“And at that moment, the fuse somehow went with him and he started insulting me. He called me a fool seven times. ”
Morgan then said there was no hard evidence to suggest that the election was rigged.
“He couldn’t accept that,” he said. “He has a blind, pathological belief that he has been taken away.”

Matt Goetz supports Trump supporter Jim Jordan against Kevin McCarthy
Representative Matt Goetz on Saturday appears to have shown support for his Republican counterpart Jim Jordan to replace Kevin McCarthy as the minority leader in the House of Representatives.
“Jim Jordan is the most hard-working and talented member of the Republican House Conference. And every member knows it, “said Mr Gaetz in response to a tweet that called on him, as well as Mr Jordan, to take over from Mr McCarthy.
Mr Gaetz’s comment came after the New York Times reported on an audio clip in which McCarthy told fellow MPs that he planned to force the former president to resign in the days following the Capitol uprising last January.

Hunter Biden will be a major target if Republicans win Congress
As Republicans hope to regain a majority in the Senate and House of Representatives in November’s midterm elections, they are seeking to make the president’s son’s business relationship a key goal.
Republican lawmakers and officials are seeking to analyze specific messages and financial transactions found on Hunter Biden’s laptop.
They also discussed the issuance of subpoenas by Congress to foreign entities involved in the Hunter Biden payment, people familiar with the matter told the Associated Press.
While the discussions were in their infancy, talks were under way to bring in Republican lawyers and former Justice Department officials to help conduct the investigations.
Meanwhile, the White House is preparing to make a case of opportunism against Republicans, denying any wrongdoing by the president.
Hunter Biden’s taxes and foreign companies are already under federal investigation, with the Delaware grand jury hearing testimony in recent months.

Trump-backed candidates from the Michigan Republican Party emerge victorious
Two Donald Trump-approved candidates in Michigan – Secretary of State Christina Caramo and Attorney General Matt Deperno – were backed by state Republicans in two of the most closely watched political contests over the weekend.
Mr Deperno, a lawyer, had previously filed a lawsuit to verify the results of the 2020 election in Antrim County, which was rejected by a Michigan court on Thursday.
Ms. Caramo said she had personally witnessed electoral fraud in 2020 and was also part of the Supreme Court’s case to overturn the 2020 outcome, which was ultimately rejected.
“Michigan is one of the worst in terms of election fraud and corruption, and they will put an end to it. At the same time, they will get to the bottom of the election fraud in 2020, “Mr Trump said in a statement.
Trump has approved 10 candidates for seats in the state legislature, ABC reported.

Biden is taking orders from the Easter Bunny, Trump said
Donald Trump targeted President Joe Biden during a rally in Ohio on Saturday and said he was “accepting orders from the Easter Bunny.”

“Our country is going to hell,” Trump said. “He shook hands with the air. He walks around somewhat confused – I would say not good – and accepts orders from the Easter Bunny.
The former president’s comments were linked to a viral moment last week in which a man in an Easter bunny costume was seen apparently leading Mr Biden as he greeted supporters.

Trump’s decisions are based on emotions, says the former governor of New Jersey
Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said Donald Trump’s decisions to support Republican candidates were not based on “political analysis” but on emotion.
In an interview with ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday, Mr Christie said: “The idea that he is making these decisions based on political analysis is sophistry.
“It’s all emotional decisions and who’s talking to him last.”
He also said the former president’s approvals had “landed everywhere”.
He was referring to his support for JD Vance and the controversial television personality, Dr. Mehmet Oz.
Both approvals received a backlash from Republicans.
“However, I think that when we get to June, we …
