A spring storm brought torrential rain and some snow to Winnipeg and parts of Manitoba this weekend.
The city of Winnipeg has announced which areas in and around the city were hardest hit between April 22 and 24.
Rainfall figures show that Oak Bluff received the most rainfall over the weekend at 71.6 millimeters.
Inside Winnipeg, the University of Winnipeg recorded 65.8 mm. The island lake community was next on the list with 65.1 mm.
Kilcona Park received 62.2 mm, while the Fort Richmond area saw 60.7 mm of rainfall.
Although these were some of the highest amounts in Winnipeg, most neighborhoods had amounts ranging from the low 40s to the low 50s.
However, one part of the city managed to avoid much of the storm, as Westwood recorded 13.5 mm and the West End treatment plant received 21.2 mm.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada, the city managed to break a record during the storm.
32.4 mm of rain fell at the airport on Saturday. The previous record for April 23 was 16.8 mm, set in the distant 1915.
Winnipeg also broke its average monthly record for precipitation in one day, as the city usually sees an average of 30 mm of precipitation for the whole month of April.
