A teenager was hit by an A38 car near Bristol today (April 25th), closing the road for hours. The 14-year-old boy was hit on the road in South Gloucestershire while crossing it after getting off a bus at 4 p.m.
He was hit by a Land Rover Discovery and rushed to hospital, but his injuries are not considered life-threatening. The road was closed until 20.30 hours after the collision, while the police are inspecting the scene.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: “A 14-year-old boy was taken to hospital after a collision on A38 Gloucester Road in Whitfield.

“The collision occurred shortly before 4 pm on Monday, April 25, north of the A38 junction with B4061. The boy was crossing the road after getting off a bus when he collided with a Land Rover Discovery.
“The teenager went to the hospital by land ambulance. Fortunately, his injuries are not considered life-threatening. His family is aware.
