Amber Heard seems to be reacting physically, as the psychologist who examined her relationship with Johnny Depp testified that she has two personality disorders.
The defamation lawsuit between Mr. Depp and Ms. Hurd began Monday, April 11, in Fairfax, Virginia, following Mr. Depp’s lawsuit against his ex-wife in March 2019. Mr. Depp claims she slandered him. in a December 2018 publication published in The Washington Publication entitled “I spoke out against sexual violence – and faced the wrath of our culture. That needs to change. “
Psychologist Dr. Shannon Curry took the position on Tuesday, saying she met with Ms. Hurd on “two separate dates” while conducting her assessment – December 10 and 17, 2021. She said they spent 12 hours together and that “the result of Ms. Hurd’s assessment supported two diagnoses – borderline personality disorder and histrionic personality disorder.”
Dr Curry said Ms Hurd was “guilty” and could be “self-righteous”, “judgmental” and angry.
She added that there was a “desperate fear of abandonment” among those with borderline disorder and that the reaction was to try to keep a significant other loved one and this behavior could become extreme.
Dr Curry said people with borderline disorder may look charming and socially sophisticated, but they can also explode and be unaware of their thinking problems.
They are very concerned about appearance, can be cruel and can struggle to admit mistakes, which causes many problems in close relationships.
Reactions can be violent or aggressive and can be offensive to your partner to prevent him from physically leaving.
They can also use the legal system to prevent their partner from leaving, threatening to issue a restraining order or claiming to have been abused.
Dr Curry said people with borderline disorder could easily feel neglected and not try to control their emotions. They will do anything to express their anger.
The clinical psychologist describes how she diagnosed Hurd with two personality disorders
Describing the Istrian personality disorder, Dr. Curry said he needed to be the center of attention, adding that those with the condition would have to make up stories to focus on the “victim” or “princess.”
Dr Curry said there was evidence that Ms Hurd was “greatly” exaggerating the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder and that there was no evidence to support her condition.
In her 2018 publication, Ms. Hurd wrote that “like many women, I was harassed and sexually abused when I grew up in college. But I was silent – I did not expect the complaints to be fair. And I didn’t see myself as a victim. “
“Then, two years ago, I became a public figure representing domestic violence, and I felt the full force of our culture’s anger at women who speak openly,” she added at the time.
Although Mr Depp is not mentioned in the article, his legal team claims that it contains a “clear implication that Mr. Depp is a domestic abuser”, which they consider to be “definitely and obviously untrue”. Mr Depp is seeking compensation of “at least $ 50 million”.
Ms. Hurd filed a $ 100 million counterclaim against Mr. Depp for inconvenience and immunity from his allegations.
