Speaking to Sky News as he promoted his latest film, Dr Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, in London on Tuesday, the 45-year-old made a promising update.

“They managed to get out of Ukraine, I monitor their progress every day.
“Unfortunately, they are undergoing medical treatment – to say more about this would be an intrusion into their personal lives and too much about when they come and how it is managed this will invade mine – but I want to give them some stability after the turmoil who have survived, and this is in my home, “he explained.
In addition to accommodating people in need, Benedict provides financial support to Ukrainian families – citizens of the United Kingdom – who are preparing to accept their extended families.

Benedict, while “very, very proud” of his native England, urged people to seek additional help to “support their efforts.”

Speaking to Sky News on the red carpet at London’s Royal Albert Hall, Benedict said the suffering of millions could not be ignored, as war is “something that hangs over us”.

“But we all need, as we know, to do more than wear a badge. We need to donate, we need to push our politicians to continue to create some kind of security and refuge for refugees here for the people who are suffering.
“I know this continues, I know it’s happening, but everyone needs to do as much as possible.”
