A man detained on suspicion of killing his girlfriend and three members of her family met them only a day ago, it became clear.
Joshua Jerome Derivier Jacques, 28, the boyfriend of one of the victims, Samantha Drumonds, was at the property when police arrived.
He was annoyed by police who found the bodies of Samantha, 29, her mother Tanisha Drummond, 45, grandmother Dolet Hill, 64, and Dolet’s partner Denton Burke, 59.
A friend of Samantha told the Sun: “He met with the family for the first time last Thursday.
“They had been friends for a long time, but things changed and Samantha decided to introduce him.”

Samantha’s stepfather, 62-year-old Danny Ofori-Akufo, told the Sun: “I don’t know how I will live without them.”
Despite all the efforts of paramedics, all four were pronounced dead at the scene in Bermondsey, south London, in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Jacques is being treated at the nearby Louisham Hospital and will be questioned by detectives. The suspect’s knife was locked in Dolet and Denton’s three-bedroom home shortly before they died, it became clear today.
Neighbors heard the victims’ terrifying screams and called police, who broke down the door to find a bloodbath with bodies lying on the floor – and struck the knife as he tried to escape.
Tanisha’s husband, Danny Ofori-Akufo, gave the first full account of what happened at the property.
Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, he said: “Neighbors heard screams and called the police, who forced him to enter when they arrived and found him. He tried to escape, but was tapped.
“One of the bodies was found right behind the front door. I don’t know who he was.
“Dolet locks the door before going to bed and takes the key with him every night so that the attacker could not escape from the house.

Dolet Hill and Denton Burke were killed. The alleged knife was locked in Dolet and Denton’s three-bedroom home when the massacre took place.
“Tanisha stayed with Dolet because she was being treated for cancer. I tried to call her several times on Sunday night, but she didn’t pick up.
“She finally answered at 11.30 pm and said she had fallen asleep on the couch, but now she is on her way to bed. Those were the last words I said to her.
Mr Ofori-Acufo said Samantha, who had been staying with Dolet while her apartment had been refurbished, had brought Jacques to Dolet’s home on Saturday.

One of her friends called her on the phone and heard a man shout “I want to go home” in the background. When asked who she was, she replied: “This is just my boyfriend.
Mr Ofori-Akufo added: “I have never met him. And most of the family knows nothing about him. All we know is that he was Samantha’s boyfriend, but I don’t know how long they’ve been together. I don’t think so long, but I’m sure he lived near her.
He said that around 8 am yesterday, two police officers knocked on his door, asking him if he had seen Samantha.
He said: “I gave the police my wife’s number and told them to call her because she would know before I called Tanisha to warn her that the police were contacting, but I could not contact them.
“Then I called her number a few times, called Dolet and then Denton, but nothing. Eventually I called Tanisha’s sister, Tracy, and she did the same, but couldn’t get in touch.
“Someone had told her they had seen on the news that three women and a man had been stabbed to death in Bermonds, so she went to the house to see if all was well.
“Of course, when he arrived, he found the street glued and the police everywhere. She spoke to police officers at the scene, who took her to the Luisham police station.
“She called me around 10 in the morning and asked me to meet there. When I got there, I was called to talk to some officers, and they told me the terrible truth about what had happened.
“I still can’t believe it.” It did not sink. We are such a close family, we are always together. We all take care of each other.
“I lost something very special. Their deaths left a hole that will not be filled until I see them all in heaven.
It turned out that the knife that killed three generations of the same “amazing” family was tapped by armed police, who arrived within five minutes after terrifying screams began echoing around the property and on the street.
The suspect, who is about 20 years old, knew the four victims of the murder, including the recently retired NHS nurse Mrs. Hill, 64, a matriarch who “wins her battle against cancer” and dedicated herself to charity and Christianity. faith.

A neighbor told The Times of Mrs Hill and Mr Burke: “They were amazing people. They have never had problems in the house – I have lived here for years. They have never had any problems. She did a lot of charity. I believe she was a nurse or a nurse.
“She was battling cancer, she was being treated. She was super happy because she was winning her battle. They were religious, but she was very ill, so I don’t know how active they were. “
Scotland Yard detectives continue to question suspects in the four people stabbed to death in the family home of £ 600,000 just a yard from Millwall Stadium.
A friend of Tracy’s Henry, her other daughter, said: “Tracy is absolutely devastated right now, she can’t talk to anyone. She lost four members of her family. Why it happened, we just don’t know. This is a really bad time for all of us.
A relative of Dolet’s confirmed earlier that she was one of four people found dead in a terrace house in Bermonds in the early hours of yesterday morning. Dolet was a worker at a local hospital in the NHS and was undergoing cancer treatment, MailOnline revealed yesterday.
The Guy and St. Thomas NHS Foundation paid tribute to Dolet Hill, who was an active union member.
Alistair Gurley, director of property and facilities, said: “We are devastated to hear of the tragic death of Dolet Hill, who has worked as an assistant host in our pharmaceutical department for more than 21 years before retiring in 2018.
“Dolet was a respected colleague who also helped to improve the workplace for others as an active representative of UNISON. Our thoughts are with Dolet’s family, friends and everyone who has worked with her.
Samantha Drumnds had gone a week away from her apartment as it had been renovated and refurbished. She spent time with her mother, grandmother, and other relatives in Southwark.
Police arrived at her third-floor apartment five miles from Forest Hill yesterday morning and were at the property until at least 4 p.m. this afternoon.
A relative of Dolet (pictured) confirmed that she was one of four people found dead in a house in Bermonds
A 17-year-old friend and neighbor, Rudra Brambhat, told MailOnline: “Samantha is doing some work in her apartment and renovating the bathroom and hallway.
“She didn’t want to stay in the apartment while the work was being done, so the last thing she told me was, ‘I’m leaving in a week, I’ll see when I get back.’ She took her cat and left.
“I did not think about it until the police showed up. It was about 7 in the morning.
“Several of the policemen knocked on our door and asked if we knew where Samantha was and if we had contact information.
“I gave them her number and then I called the number myself – several times – but there was no answer.
“She has lived in the block for about five years. I think he worked at NatWest Bank. She is really friendly.
“I know she often went and stayed with her father and aunt in Southwark. But I don’t know much about her family.
Another neighbor added: “Police knocked and asked if I had heard from Samantha in the last 24 hours. I was told that there was a concern for her well-being caused by someone in Southwark, where I know she has a family.
“The last time I talked to her was a few days ago, when I called her and we talked about what work she did in her apartment.
“It’s awful that she may have been involved. She is really popular in the block because she is a person who always stops talking to you and asking you how things are.
Detective Chief Inspector Linda Bradley, who is leading the investigation, said: “It was a truly horrific incident and I am fully aware that the suffering for the family and the community will be enormous.
“We are conducting a thorough and detailed investigation of the facts and we call on anyone who can help with any information to come out.
“If you know something or have seen something that you think can help us put together the events that led to this, then do not hesitate, please call the police. You can also call Crimestoppers if you don’t want to say your name.
“We deeply appreciate all the help we have already received from the local people and I would like to thank them for their patience and support in what is likely to be an ongoing investigation.
“We are moving to the scene as quickly as possible, but we must ensure that we reveal all the facts and provide all the necessary evidence, and this can understandably take some time.
“We are aware that we have family, friends and a community that everyone asks questions, we are determined to give them …
