A 36-year-old man died after being hit by an industrial forklift at a work site in Hamilton, Ont. Tuesday late in the morning.
The incident happened at a factory on Arvin Avenue around 10:30 am
According to police, the man was transported to a local hospital by critical paramedics, but died shortly afterwards from his injuries.
The Department of Labor is investigating the incident with the assistance of the Hamilton Police Department of Criminal Investigation and the Clash Reconstruction Division.
“Due to the guidelines of the Ministry of Transport, this will be considered a collision with motor vehicles and is the tenth road accident in the city for the year and the ninth involving a pedestrian,” police said in a press release issued Tuesday night.
