The head of government has launched an investigation into reports that a former Tory judge watched pornography on his phone in the municipal hall.
Tory women met with Chris Heaton-Harris on Monday night to complain about sexism in parliament, with one claiming a fellow man was watching pornography next to them in the House of Commons.
A group of about 12 to 14 women lawmakers shared their experiences of sexist behavior among male Tory MPs, telling Heaton-Harris that something needed to be done. They also called for action against three cabinet ministers who are alleged to be under investigation for sexual misconduct.
The MP who raised the issue did not specify the name of the male MP, but there are reports that he was seen watching porn both in the hall and at a committee meeting.
A whip spokesman said: “The main whip is addressing this issue. This behavior is completely unacceptable and action will be taken. “

The prime minister’s spokesman then said the Conservative Party had no problem with misogyny and sexism.

Asked if watching pornography at work was a dismissal, she said: “I am not aware of the disciplinary sanction. Obviously, this is completely unacceptable behavior and is being considered. “
At a meeting of a group known as “2022”, women MPs called for action against sexism in the Conservative Party. Theresa May attended part of the meeting.
The Sunday Times reported last weekend that 56 lawmakers were targeted by the independent sexual complaints and complaints scheme, including three cabinet ministers and two shadow ministers.
