David Frost said Brexit went “remarkably smoothly” one day after new evidence of rising food prices and companies abandoning trade with the EU.
Boris Johnson, a negotiator on the trade deal – who left the government last year – said he “lacks things to talk about”, apart from the controversy over the Irish Sea trade border he has created.
“From time to time, attention is drawn to another issue, such as fishing or touring performers,” he said at an event on the future of the Northern Ireland Protocol.
