At a time when laptop flexibility and performance are more important than ever, Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy Book2 Pro series is redefining next-level lightweight PC standards, offering consumers a versatile laptop that’s both extremely fast and highly secure. In this first part of the How-to series, a three-part series behind the Galaxy Book2 Pro series, Samsung Newsroom will discuss the benefits of safe and easy life-sharing features for your laptop.
Fast sharing and private sharing for the new Galaxy Book2 Pro series provide easier and safer ways to share photos, videos and files
Quick, easy sharing
Many of us rely on computers to store our fondest memories. With the Galaxy Book2 Pro series, sharing these memories is easier and faster than ever. Using Quick Share, Galaxy Devices users can wirelessly send photos, videos, documents, and more without restrictions on file size or number.
Before you get started, make sure you have the latest Quick Sharing app1 installed on your Galaxy device. Once installed, open the Galaxy Book2 Pro series app and drag and drop the files you want to share. Quick Share automatically converts unsupported files to a format that your friends can easily view, so you don’t have to worry about the files not opening. When you’re ready to share, review a list of people nearby. After selecting your recipients, press Send. Quick Share will alert the recipient that you have shared the files and allow them to download the files with just one touch.
Want to share files with people who use devices other than Galaxy? Quick Share can also generate a QR code with link2, where even non-Galaxy users can access your shared files.
Share calmly at work and at school
For times when you need to share sensitive files3 such as work reports or school assignments, Private Share in the Galaxy Book2 Pro series provides enhanced security based on blockchain technology.
Your data belongs to you and Private Share helps you save it this way by encrypting your files and setting strict permissions for who can view or share it. Private Share allows you to share 20 files, a total of 100MB, with five people at once. Send text files, photos, videos and even PDFs with ease.
To get started, open the Private Share app and carefully review the necessary permissions before selecting the files you want to share. Once you’ve selected the files, you can decide who will have access, what they can do with your files, and how long they can access them. You can even revoke access to files after you’ve shared them if you change your mind or decide that the person no longer needs access. Private Share will then encrypt your files before you send them, so you don’t have to worry about third parties gaining access. Advanced security measures in Private Share also protect your files from saving, capturing, or sharing with the recipient.
As a sender, you can keep track of when your files were opened, how many days are left to access, and their expiration date.
Whether it’s funny photos with a friend or sensitive documents with a colleague, file sharing is an important part of the way we communicate today. As sharing becomes more important to our work and personal lives, we need tools that help make sharing easier while protecting our files and privacy. Quick Share and Private Share are the preferred sharing tools of the latest Samsung Galaxy smartphones. By introducing these popular features in the Galaxy Book2 Pro series, Samsung Electronics offers a safer and faster way to share your photos and files, giving you complete control over the content and better peace of mind.
